Facilities
We are in a very unique position at Wrenn School and because of our split site we can offer a Lower and Upper School Setting.
Upper School: London Road
Our Upper school is a hive of academic activity, students in KS4 are busy studying for their GCSEs, Year 12 are beginning their A Level journey whilst our Year 13 are busy preparing for the next step onto their chosen pathway of further study, many of which go onto University.
Although primarily based at London Road, students may need to travel to Doddington for some aspects within their timetable and to access the amazing specialist teaching spaces in the creative and design subjects. Many of our students also work closely as mentors and ambassadors and work with the KS3 students in many capacities.
Students in KS4/5 also benefit greatly from extra-curricular provision within the school. Additional extra-curricular sessions, outdoor qualifications, workshops, study support, coursework and exam preparation sessions are organised for students at the end of the school days. Students also have access to independent and group study spaces and our students are keen to utilise these opportunities maximise every aspect of their learning.
We want all of our students at Wrenn School to enjoy their learning, to develop personally and to know more, do more and experience more.
Lower School: Doddington Road
Our lower school setting houses our students in Years 7,8 and 9. Our KS3 students are based at our Doddington Road site for their full timetable. Across KS3, our students are able to fully benefit from and are able to access specialist teaching facilities and areas across the full curriculum.
All students in KS3 study a broad and balanced curriculum offer, students study Mathematics, English, languages, Science, History, Geography, PSHE, RE, Sport, Design & Technology, Music, Drama & Art and Design.
At Wrenn our KS3 students are able to experience a huge array of learning beyond and outside of the classroom. Our extra-curricular and outdoor learning offers are exceptional. Our students have the opportunity to take part in national and trust wide competitions, earn certifications and qualifications and develop new skills and knowledge.
Our students in KS3 still benefit from the wisdom and support of our students who are studying for their GCSEs and A Levels. Our Ambassadors, mentors and coaches from our upper school regularly work with students in KS3. Students help to support at events, in lessons, in clubs and during extra-curricular activities and are academic mentors for KS3 students.
We want our students to be equipped, confident and well informed to make the very best choices for when they start to study for their GCSEs in Year 10.
