Community Activities
The Sixth Form Council help to shape life in the sixth form alongside the work of the Senior Prefects. The group put forward ideas which represent the views of the students and organise a whole range of activities, including social and charity events. During the year, students have the opportunity to take part in a range of university trips, cultural visits, charity events, workshops, social activities and various sports. We expect students to take a full part in these activities which encourage teamwork and commitment and help to make the sixth form at Wrenn School a vibrant and positive experience.
Community
We are very proud of the charities that we support throughout the year. In Wrenn Sixth Form we all recognise that, compared to many others in this country and abroad, we are extremely fortunate, and we try to support as many local charities as possible. We aim to raise money to help others secure an improved quality of life. We also recognise that we can have a good deal of fun doing it.
We raised funds for Young Minds by participating in wearing yellow for a day. Young Minds is a charity that supports those with Mental Health.
At Christmas, we raised funds by wearing Christmas jumpers for the Save the Children annual Jumper Day. We also raised bought selection packs to donate to the Daylight centre in Wellingborough, where there is a foodbank to help those in need.
We have also supported Children in Need, Macmillan Cancer Support, Crazy Hats, Jeans 4 Genes, the Poppy Appeal and many others.
